Originally an engineer, and with 25 years experience in the engineering and manufacturing sector, Mike entered the real estate profession in 2009 and joined Mike Pero Real Estate in May 2011.

Before entering the world of real estate, Mike bought, renovated and sold homes privately for more than 20 years, a passion that has set him in good stead for a career in real estate; winning several consecutive top sales awards whilst working for Ray White.

Always striving to exceed his customers’ expectations and to target excellence in every aspect of his performance, Mike’s enduring goal is to achieve the best price, in the best time, and in the most cost effective manner for his clients. Mike believes we are about to experience the biggest movement in demographic and resettlement of people and suburbs that New Zealand has ever seen. With reportedly billions of dollars of offshore insurance funds to be pumped into the Canterbury economy over the next few years, he sees the rebuild as a rare opportunity to re shape our great city into the most modern and vibrant city in New Zealand. He describes the current market as a ‘sellers’ market’ with demand exceeding supply in the less damaged zones, subsequently driving prices upward, making the present time a great time for selling your home or investment property.

A devoted family man, Mike enjoys fishing, hunting, water skiing and riding motorcycles. He would love to travel more with his family to experience other cultures and ways of life.
